NJHS MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

​​Membership in the National Junior Honor Society is open to all currently enrolled 8th grade students.  The requirements of membership of Highland's chapter of NJHS is as follows:

​

​  ​

  • ​​Current 8th grade student on a regular full day schedule.

  • Grade Point Average of 3.3 or higher​

  • Less than 10 disciplinary points

  • Receive five positive recommendations from faculty and staff

  • Write a 500 word essay over one of the pillars of the NJHS.​

  • Participate in a formal induction ceremony.
